Peter Bialobrzeski was born in 1961 in Wolfsburg, he lives and works in Hamburg and around the world. After studying political science and sociology, he studied photography at the Folkwang Schule in Essen and at the London College of Painting. He is professor of photography at the University of the Arts Bremen. In 2003 and 2010 he received the World Press Photo Award, in 2012 the Erich Salomon Award of the German Photographic Society (DGPh). His works are part of numerous private and public collections, i.e. the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, the Sammlung FC Gundlach Hamburg, the Ruhrmuseum Essen, Fotoforum Köln, Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea Milan, DZ BANK Kunstsammlung Frankfurt am Main, Hessische Landesbank Frankfurt am Main, Quandt Holding Frankfurt am Main, ING Bank Netherlands, Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Frankfurt am Main, Museo Vaticano Rome and Uni Credit Art Collection Munich.
